Acoustic requirements on walls are of the category, Generic Model.
When working with wall requirements there is a vast amount of requirements per project.
Open Quick Wall Settings to define up to six different requirements which will appear on the six buttons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Choose up to six different requirements in the drop-down menu. That list all Generic model and Audio Visual Devices within the project.
Remember, to use your own symbols the requirement must be a line-based family.
Choose from different requirements within the project such as
- Acoustic Rating Wall
- Disturbance level walls
- Acoustic level wall.
The text for each button is now updated after the Type name.
It's recommended to connect each requirement to a keyboard shortcut. Note: Restart Revit to have the text from the requirement to be updated in the keyboard shortcut list. Otherwise, it will still be Quick 1-6 from start.
Note: If a requirement is missing, contact the BFT team and they will create it ASAP and deliver the missing requirement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tool itself only lets the users select Wall categories.
The height of the wall will be copied to the parameter “BFT_Top”, and the length of the wall will be applied to the length of the family meaning they should be identical.
Note: If the wall in the linked model has used “Attach top” / “Edit profile” the engineer needs to manually update the wall requirement height.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The line-weight, line style and colour can be controlled under Manage → Object Styles → Generic Models.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wall requirements have three different requirements:
- AcousticReq_AcousticLevelRating
- AcousticRatingReq, which is always the same value as AcousticReq_AcousticLevelRating.
- AcousticReq_Comments
BFT_GUID is a parameter, showing the user that this specific requirement is connected to a component in the linked model.
