After exporting an IFC the file is empty, and the file size is around just a few kb.
This means the export setup for IFC is not exporting the categories that are used with BFT.
Categories used with Revit 2020 / 2021 are:
- Generic Model
- Fire Alarm Devices
- Space
- HVAC Zones
Categories used with Revit 2022 are:
- Audio Visual devices
- Electrical Equipment
- Fire Alarm Devices
- Fire Protection
- Generic model
- Mechanical Equipment
- Security Devices
- Signage
- Space
- Specialty Equipment
- HVAC Zones
Open IFC Export options and check these categories
Go through these categories and subcategories
If the categories has a value "Not Exported" either load the standard-setting from:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2020\exportlayers-ifc-IAI.txt
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2021\exportlayers-ifc-IAI.txt
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2022\exportlayers-ifc-IAI.txt
or manually enter which class each category should be exported as.
