When the engineer sends a model, it's possible to read the information from their spaces. Use color schemes to read the information directly from the engineering model.

Firstly, make sure to have the same parameter as the engineer in the architect model. By default when using BFT the engineer will use the parameter FireReq_CompartmentationFunctionality. How to load this parameter, make sure it is part of the parameter delivery, read more here on how to load parameters

Open or create a floor plan, because when using color schemes on area plans it's possible only on areas and not rooms/spaces.

Open Color Scheme,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Change to Category Spaces.

2. Change Color to FireReq_CompartmentationFunctionality

3. Include elements from links

Note: If spaces doesn't exist in the drop-down menu in Categories, it's because MEP tabs have been inactived in the Revit session.

Go to File -> Options

Enable any of the MEP tabs,

If necessary, add a Color Fill Legend to the views:

It's recommended to have a set of "Control Fire Safety" views in the model, in which all symbols from the fire safety engineers are visible and the space requirement is enabled with color schemes.
